SAFF is the first Iranian EPCI contractor to obtain Integrated Management System certificates in the areas of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Safety Management Systems (OH & S) from the BV of France with approvals UKAS of Great Britain and SAFF was one of the first Iranian companies in this industry to acquire a Quality Management System Certificate (ISO 9000) and a Certificate for Environmental Management.

These certificates license SAFF as a contractor in the management, engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, commissioning and installation of marine structures and offshore facilities.

SAFF has adopted international quality standards from the very start of its activity and has been regularly vetted by major international quality auditors. The latest external audit was performed in September 2010 by BV, which led to a further three-year extension of SAFF’s OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2004, and ISO 9001:2008 certificates.

• Improve supervision over the performance of consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Ensure clients’ full satisfaction through complete understanding of their requirements and
responding to their expectations
• Monitor Quality Management System processes and conduct periodical audits to ensure their
effectiveness and efficiency

- International audit training of ISO 9001:2000, with IRCA (International
Register of Certified Auditors) registration - attended by 15 staff

- International audit training of ISO 14001:2004, with IRCA (International
Register of Certified Auditors) registration - attended by 6 staff

- International audit training of OHSAS 18001:2007, with IRCA (International
Register of Certified Auditors) registration - attended by 26 staff

• Mandatory safety training in the areas of:
- survival at sea
- basic fire fighting
- breathing apparatus, gas testing, and H2S

• Training courses in Standard 18001, 14001, and 9001
• Training courses in Occupational Health, First Aid and Environmental Pollution by the Iran
Technical and Vocational Training Organization
