SHERKAT SANAYEA FARASAHEL (SAFF) - Offshore Industries Company (PJS) - established in 1993, is a leading general contractor and project operator in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries in the Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea with special emphasis on emerging international markets.

Based on its financial strength, experienced man power, up- to- date technical know-how of management, engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, commission and start-up of offshore and onshore projects and with the help of its associated companies, SAFF offers a comprehensive range of above services in the form of EPCI, MC, GC and finance contracts and aims to consolidate the position in its home and Middle East market by strengthening its technological and project management base.

In line with the requirements and goals of the Iranian ministries of oil and gas and industrial market, specially the Persian Gulf region, SAFF established a fabrication yard in Bandar Abbas Special Economic Zone, fully equipped with cranes, machineries, industrial equipment, welding machines, different shop facilities, heavy assembly and load-out areas to ensure effective performance and increase the efficiency of process management.

 

History

In response to the dynamic growth of the oil and gas industry in the region, related knowledge management and technology transfer to expedite the development of oil and gas fields, and to develop the required expertise's, knowledge and skill, SAFF was established as GC, EPCI and management contractor to execute related projects in the field of project management, engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, commissioning and start-up activities.

At present SAFF is engaged in a variety of offshore and onshore projects. The company uses its offshore yard in Bandar Abbas Special Economic Zone for the construction of heavy offshore structures. This yard is the biggest fabrication yard in Iran. Enjoying modern equipment and facilities, the yard is capable of fabricating 45,000 Tons of steel structures per year.

SAFF utilizes its fleet of crane barges and tugs for installation of aforesaid facilities. SAFF oil and gas division involves in the management and implementation of oil and gas projects, such as construction and installation of fixed offshore structures, drilling jack-up rigs, sub sea pipelines, as well as sub sea surveying of marine structures and pipelines.

At balance sheet date, the shares of SAFF were held by 306 individuals and 6 companies. The companies are Ayandehsaz Social Welfare Fund, Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA), Qeshm Offshore Free Ports and Industries (SABA), Offshore Installation Contractor (SADAF) and Energy Insurance Services Company and each own between 6% and 51 % respectively.
